And though it's been a long time, you're right back where you started from.

"The drums are bigger, the guitars are faster, and the songs are outfitted with synth beats and hip-hop, reggae and electro accents." - Rolling Stone

Where to start...Vampire Weekend were amazing live, even better than i anticipated. I was excited all day, but being there watching them was an entire different feeling.  "Giving up the gun", "Oxford Comma" and the auto tuned "california English" were by far the best songs of the night.  The boys from Vampire Weekend are extremely talented. Ahhh, i have been listening to them all morning. I want to go again! I love their new tunes, but i am a big fan of their old music too.

We didn't make it to see Cloud Control, because i got us lost! But, there's always next time! Thank you brother dearest for getting us on the guest list. You are zee best!

Verdict: 10 out of 10. I have made a pact to see more live music.

You and me have seen everything to see.

I drew these using my drawing tablet skills. I like the rough outlines, i think it adds a little something to the drawings. I chose to draw my favourite sneakers, my favourite boots and my favourite jumper i have made. I live in my boots. They go with everything, so that's a bonus. They are my winter staple. I am still trying to decide what to wear to Vampire Weekend tonight. My boots may have to be worn, it's a bit hard to say no to them.

Sneakers. For sneaking.

Chuck Taylor made them cool, therefore i had to go and buy them. Not really. I have wanted some converse sneaker for years and never actually purchased them until last weekend. I love them. They're so comfortable, which makes me wish i had have purchased them earlier. I feel so cool in them, like i could be a rock star, but this would mean i'd need some musical ability, and this i do not have. I think it skipped me. My eldest sister, my brother and my other sister are all musical...My theory as to why i am not musical is, i couldn't concentrate longer than five minutes as a child, and i'm pretty sure it takes longer than that to learn the piano or the guitar. I'm not like that now, which is a bonus.

I haven't owned a pair of converse shoes since i was in year 9! We used to call them "Connies", and all the girls had them. We rebelled and wore them with our school dresses. In hindsight, maybe we weren't cool.

Vampire weekend count: TOMORROW.

Then end.

Ksubi closed Sydney Fashion Week 2010,moving on from their recent problems. I thought the concept of their show was great, and an awesome way to end such an awesome week of fashion. The Ksubi boys always know how to showcase their individuality. I also liked the look they went for with the hair and make up (smooth, dead straight hair and heavily underlined eyes). I noticed a theme of gelled hair at this years RAFW, but of course Ksubi couldn't follow the trend as they only used this look a few years ago (07/08)!

I have a few bits and pieces of Ksubi clothing. I love my black Ksubi jeans. Very Comfy. Some of their dresses and over sized tees in their SS 2010-2011 collection were so hideous. I was highly disappointed with their overuse of  text, and there was one suit like outfit which was orange/brown that i thought "what the hell is that model wearing". There were only one or two items that i really liked. I do like Ksubi, but i think their t-shirt designs of both mens and ladies apparel have been going a bit downhill. It seems that there is only a few tees each season that i like.

SPOTS OF THE LEOPARD KIND.

"Nothing is in, and nothing is out. It’s about what really looks good on you and how you feel in it"...Wise words. So, wear whatever the hell you want i say. It's all about wearing it with confidence. People may judge you, but take a look at them. They probably have no idea what fashion is anyway.

I have a little obsession with leopard print at the moment. I've never really been into the animal print scene. But at the moment i say "Leopard print, why not?" There is a pair of JC wedges i want, Some pony hair pumps from Wittner and a power shoulder blazer i have my eye on as well. Shopping spree? I am supposed to be saving for my trip to the snow and a Canon camera as well, so my jacket may need to wait. Oh, and there is the debacle of whether to buy: A new surf board, A skate board or a bike ( so my boyfriend can ride his old school one that i bought him finally).

Only four more days til Vampire weekend so i am very excited.  But, at the moment it's Saturday, so just a quick post to make you drool over leopard print and see the AMAZING make up! Seriously, that eye is a masterpiece.
