Like, literally.

Literally has become the new "like". Remember when it took triple the time to finish a sentence because you threw a whole bunch of likes in? For example: "I, like, saw him, like, looking at me but, like, didn't, like, know if he was, like, into me". This video is the worst thing you will see all day, and by the time you are through with watching it you will probably want to rip your ears off and punch the next person who says "literally" in the face.

For those who don't know, Rachel Zoe is an American fashion stylist and an abuser of the words literally and like. She also doesn't seem to know the meaning of literally.  If you tell someone you "literally died", there's probably a good chance you didn't. Oh, how i laughed. I hope you did too!

On another note, here are rad links to illustration blogs, cool artwork and various bits and pieces:

I have been thinking it's Tuesday all day! It wasn't until i got to work and i realised it was Wednesday. I even had to change my last post. I had "Sunny, sunny Tuesday". This is why my Hump Day post is being posted now. I completely forgot my own ritual.

Have a fun night!

Rapid fire.

Jumper: Unknown Pleasures Jumper DIY Shoes: Steve Madden

Sunny, sunny Wednesday! I thought I'd share another over sized jumper/ jumper dress i made. This time there is no dyes or bleach.  I used a flannel shirt material. I am happy with the outcome! I used the three crosses which i have taken on as my logo.  I am still loving over sized pieces. But, most recently i have been more interested in pieces that are a little more fitted. I think it's because i feel a little frumpy in really baggy shirts lately. So maybe i'll start making some fitted bits and pieces.

So here we are.

I know it's not fashion related, but its definitely a fashionable statement. I just put a cruiser bike on lay-by. I didn't get a chance to take a picture, so i thought I'd draw it from memory. Note: I want a kitten (still) to put in the basket...

Today is another beautiful day! What is with this weather? It's been unreal! This morning i have been gathering inspiration for an up and coming shoot. Some Photographers and i are pulling different inspiration together and setting a date to shoot. Can not wait. There are so many beautiful editorials at the moment. I could look at them all day. Check out studded hearts, to see some of the most recent editorials. I am going crazy over this particular shoot with Erin Wasson.

I also have been looking online for various bits and pieces. My "want/love" list is way too long! I need to learn to stop adding to it. For example a bike has been on the top of my list since last year (Actually i wouldn't be surprised if it was on my list the year before last). But i am only just getting one now because there has been way too many other things i have wanted!

I am off to get ready for work. Our level of our apartment building is getting renovated so all morning i have had the sniffles. All the paint and varnish is going to my head. Though, we have a pretty stylish new front door. I bet i manage to get paint on my outfit on the way out.

I wish i could sit in the sun all day and drink fresh apple juice and basically just zone out. I'd be content with that.

Untitled #3

Drop every fear.

Dress: thrifted Belt: Oroton thrifted belt Shoes: Wittner

This morning has been a great start to the week. I made myself a coffee but now fear i gave myself diabetes, as it was so sweet. I drink coffee like water. I love the smell and the taste. Okay, enough about my coffee addiction.

I bought this dress from a thrift shop. I don't know what i was thinking buying a size eighteen. Yes, i bought it at least 6 or so sizes too big. Lucky i have sewing skills, otherwise it would have been a Moo-moo on me. I would have been drowned in tiger print fabric. I left it quite loose still, as i like that style as opposed to fitted. I love the structured shoulders as well. All in all a great find after i altered it. I must say i am very pleased when i stumbled across this Oroton belt last week. It was in pretty good condition. I just had to put some extra holes into the leather, and it was good to go! I love the gold buckle. That's basically why i bought it.

Our camera arrived today! So i have been sussing it out all morning! Ahhh. I am in love with it. Seriously i think the delivery lady thought I was a little crazy. I looked at the box to see the origin of the parcel and jumped with excitement. Now all i need is to learn how to use it.

Have a great week. I think this week is going to be a good one and hopefully a fast one!

Wet-look tights: Mink Pink  Leather Jacket: Alice in the Eve Singlet: Love is treason

Lazy, lazy Sunday. How was your weekend? Mine was rad. No, i didn't make it to Splendour. Very disappointing. I've seen the photos and it just gets me mad. It doesn't actually but it does make me jealous! The weather would have been perfect!

I went to the beach today and there were soooo many girls in bikinis!  I wasn't going to unleash my pale winter skin, it was hot but I'm not hoping into a bikini for a few more months! Summer is sneaking up on us and i can not wait to stock up on summer clothes, make use of my balcony on summer nights, go to the beach and finally learn how to use a surf board! I will be making the most of the last month of winter Monday week ( off to the South Coast of NSW and the snow). The count down begins. Exactly one week until our holiday! So very excited. One week to relax, drink cocktails and basically just enjoy great company.

Anyway, enjoy the rest of Sunday.
