A little bit of Vintage.

Finally home! I can not wait to sleep in my own bed tonight. Nothing ever beats it!

We took our time to drive back to Sydney today. As we drove through the small country town of Milton (New South Wales), my boyfriend asked if i wanted to stop for a bit. At first i said "Nah, there's nothing here- lets keep driving"... And then his next sentence mentioned a vintage store! We basically stopped the car that minute and went to the CUTEST vintage store called Nikki B's Vintage Collectables and Giftware.  I am so very glad we stopped. We both bought quite a lot and the lovely Nikki gave me a vintage ring for free.  Nikki sources most of her garments from Melbourne, however she also sources local shops around the South Coast region of New South Wales. She was so lovely, and as you can see she let me take photographs of the shop, stock and other bits and pieces.  As we drove off i realised i wanted two other things i had tried on, but we were already behind schedule and there was no way i was missing my flight back to Queensland. It just so happened that my Mum and Dad were staying in Milton for the weekend, so i sent mum to the shop to buy the two pieces of clothing, and the lady chucked in a free jacket/ bolero. Score. So when i head back down to Sydney in a couple of weeks i'll pick it up off mum! So glad i was able to get the last two pieces! I totally regretted not getting them, but luck was definitely on my side! Keep reading my blog daily as i will be posting more often now! And make sure you are following too!

How awesome are the yellow shoes?

Anyway, back to reality now that our holiday is over!

Hope you all are having a great weekend! Tomorrow i am relaxing and doing absolutely nothing.

PS- Ignore my traveling clothes and my haggard looking face. Car trips just don't do much for your appearance.

Run the heart.

I bought this hat just before i went away. I wanted a warm, fuzzy hat that wasn't a beanie.  It has done its duties. It has even served as a umbrella too. I.e propelled the rain from my newly washed hair. I have a little thing for neutral tones at the moment.

I had a mother/daughter day yesterday, which was really nice. I don't get to have days like that too often, as i live so far away from my parents! We had brekkie and a coffee at a cute cafe in the morning and then mum shouted me a massage. Far out it awesome. I fell asleep and i noticed that i was dreaming (oh and i drooled too).. I wish it went for longer! Around lunchtime we ventured to the Op-Shops, and i picked up some cute, emerald coloured shoes. They have a little heel, and have the cutest buckle on the toe. The lady gave them to me for 50 cents. They need a bit of a repair though. But i couldn't resist.  On our way home we stopped at a cafe and got some tea and some snacks. We sat by the fire, cos it was sooo cold! I'm still getting used to the colder weather. Then last night Mum and Dad made Jonathan and I a baked dinner, for our dinner!- if only you could live out of home but still receive your parents cooking every night. So yesterday was a perfect day all round.

My holiday is slowly coming to an end. I have really enjoyed being home. I will really miss it when i go back up to Queensland. What i miss about my home town  is the slow paced lifestyle. I have forgotten the date and the time all week. I like that everyone here is so cruisey and i like that everyone says hello to each other when they pass on the street. No one is rude and everyone has a smile on their face.

I hope the rain stops….

Holidays! Holidays! Holidays!

Hey guys, sorry for the lack of posts. As you might have gathered from the title of this post, we're on holidays!

Here's some snaps of Jonathan and I from our first day. We spent the morning at the beach in Dalmeny where you can see Jonathan surfing in the cooold winter water - crazy man. Outside of the water, the sun was glorious!

What was even warmer, however, was the fire at the cabin we ventured to in the afternoon just outside of Jindabyne near the Snowy Mountains. Beautiful!

So within the space of a few hours, we've gone from the beach to the snow - what an amazing country we live in!

We've had an awesome time so far and hope to post again for your guys soon!
