The Last Sunlight Disappears

I fell in love with these $5.00 pants. Initially it was the colour I loved. But then after trying them on there was nothing i didn't love about them. I soon discovered they fit perfectly (they fit my waist, didn't make me look like i had a huge ass, they tapered nicely on the legs and the cut is of the harem variety). I love the rad pattern on them, it adds an extra something something to them. So basically, to sum it all up I found the perfect pair of vintage statement trousers.
As you all probably are aware, statement trousers-whatever the pattern maybe are "In"...I feel very lucky with my pair..As far as I can tell, no one else i know will be rocking these. The first time i wore these i had so many comments about where they could find a pair and my response was always the same. "Sorry, you wont be able to find these at any of the shops"...I love wearing unique things. I love knowing when I wear them i won't see ten girls wearing them too. After all, you do want to make a statement in them. Isn't that why they're called statement trousers?

She lives in a fairytale.
The look book below (Erin The Great Post), inspired me to play around with photoshop. It was my first attempt, so i don't expect you to think it's the most amazing illustration ever. I just thought i'd share a little project i worked on today. I can only get better! So as far as today went, i had a productive day off!

ERIN THE GREAT
I have been in quite the debacle today. I had so many thoughts as to what i should post on. I think I sent myself a little crazy. Actually, these images of Erin send me a little crazy. What a piece of art work this look book is. I know i could've posted these images long ago, but they have simply been sitting in my "inspiration folder" on my Mac. And it may be a little ironic posting them now, if the rumors are true (Erin and RVCA parting ways)...Though you can never believe the hype. My favourite aspect of this look book for RVCA X Erin Wasson Fall 2010 is the juxtaposition of colours and black + white- so, so beautiful!
On another note. I simply love Erin. I'm not sure if i have told you that already.
She has it all: She has a natural confidence, she styles many magazine shoots and runway shows for high-end designers, she's a supermodel, a designer, she has a jewellery line "Low Luv", which rocks, she's a major tattoo lover. But most of all she has impeccable style! She really is in a league of her own. Oh my god, her plate must be VERY full, with all her talents!
If i could choose one persons wardrobe to raid, it most definitely would be hers. And i mean raid everything, because quite simply Erin Wasson is a bona fide fashion icon...

Wind in my hair
Second day of spring, casual outfit, wind in hair and i think i have kicked my cold right in it's butt. Here's to warmer months and here's to not having to dress head to toe in clothes (meaning not having to dress head to toe in warm clothes...I don't mean now that it's warming up you can walk around somewhat naked).
This shirt is a gift from me to JD (a vintage find from my recent Sydney visit), but somehow it made it's way back to me only days after giving it to him. Yes, i am very sneaky! The material is perfect for a day like today. So breezy. You basically feel like you're wearing nothing.
I can not wait for the weekend already. I wish it would hurry the hell up.
