“It took seven hours and I didn’t speak for another four hours. I just made the decision that I needed a change. I’ve never dyed my hair before. Also I think that with the cut that I’ve got, it was the time to go white.”- Abbey Lee.

Why didn't she speak for four hours?  Did she drink the peroxide? Or what?

Does it make you want to grab for the bleach bottle and make your scalp burn for several hours? I think i'd rather keep my hair in good condition. Having said that, she rocks it (of course- what can't she pull off). But, she also has a lot of money to maintain the quality of her hair and also the roots. I can see many girls following this trend, but screwing it up majorly and dying it darker after they realise how hard it is to maintain.

So what do you think: Was her seven hour commitment worth it?

Today I had some spare time, so i went and bought some chain, some crosses and a clasp to make the chain into a bracelet. I definitely put my pliers to good use...

I am not religious. So, i don't know why I have such a fascination/ obsession with crosses. All i know is that I do and it's probably here to stay a little longer.

Hump day inspiration.

Some call it vandalism, some call it art. I am lead to believe the latter.  Don't get me wrong, there are tags and other forms of graffiti that are absolutely hideous. But some of the graffiti you see these days is an art form worthy of being displayed in an exhibition - like The Brooklyn Museum did in 2006. Twenty-two artworks by New York graffiti artists were displayed at the Museum in hope that people would rethink their assumptions about graffiti. They were trying to show that graffiti is worthy of being ranked amongst other forms of visual art.  Then, in March and April 2009, 150 artists exhibited 300 pieces of graffiti at the Grand Palais in Paris. This marked a clear acceptance of the art form into the French art world. And so it should. The amount of effort these artist put into their works should be recognised.

I think it's pretty clear to you now I love street art, what ever its form. Graffiti always catches my eye. I like that It tells a story like any other art form. So there you have it, a hump day post from me to you.
