Coffee Date

Black Coffee Lyrics is my favourite cafe in the whole wide world. Why? Because for the time you're there, you can forget you live on the Gold Coast and pretend you're in a cute little cafe in Sydney or Melbourne or even somewhere overseas. You can lose yourself in your coffee and magazine, while enjoying the company of your friends and pretend you're in a city that has style and culture ( that is until you walk back out on the streets of Surfers)! That's not to say I don't like it here. It's just, sometimes  nice not to eat or drink somewhere that isn't a chain store or a fast food outlet (which is basically all you'll find in Surfers Paradise).

Palm Road

Hey guys,

How has your weekend been? Mine had been relaxing/ eventful.  But I feel like I am coming down with the flu today - I'm so achy. I think a little nap is in order!

This is what I wore today! We went out for coffee just after lunch to this cute little cafe across the road from our place. Jonathan finally got a chance to go with me, after months of me telling him how amazingly awesome their coffee and set up is. I'm so pleased that he loved it! It's always nerve racking suggesting a place to go eat/ have coffee when the person hasn't been there before - cos if they dont end up liking it, you feel really stupid...But I kicked a goal with this one - YAY FOR ME.

In my previous post you'll see that we went to see Harry Potter last night! It was so awesome...and we received a refund and free tickets for next time as they forgot to bring us the food we ordered! So double score. We still got to sit in Gold Class and have fun and we did it for free! I'm kind of sad Harry Potter is over, cos It's been something that I have loved since I was in Primary School. I know there's a lot of people who don't get the attraction of it all, but i am still a fan!

I'm wearing: Vintage shorts, Forever New Bustier, Vintage Cardigan, Urge Boots, Vintage bag, Assorted jewellery and thrifted belt.

It wasn't all that cold here today. I think that's one of the good things about living in Queensland - I can sometimes get away with wearing shorts or dresses without stockings in winter. I loved giving my legs a break from being covered for once!

Bright blue jeans - sure why not. I'm off on a movie date to watch Harry Potter and I thought I'd show you what I am wearing. GOLD CLASS here we come.

I thought I'd give wearing my hair sleeked back off my face a go too...I actually really like it! I saw it on an episode of ANTM a while back and have wanted to do it since i cut my hair off!

a continuous story

I wouldn't mind some new frames soon. I have my lovely Ray- Bans, but I feel like I need to build up a collection of sunglasses. It's one of those accessories I never really give much thought. I'm more of a shoes, bag and watch girl. I'm do damn fussy though. These sunglasses featured are from the '11/'12 range from Ksubi - i think I liked their '09/'10 range better.

Wednesday = editing photos, editing photos and editing photos.  Now I'm off to buy dinner goods, chocolate and post somethings at the post office. I really want to get back in to a regular fitness routine - without talking myself out of it daily. What are some fun things you guys do for fitness?

PS: Bright colours are my favourite at the moment. Loving anything colourful.
P.P.S: Jonathan just booked tickets to Harry Potter for saturday night! GOLD CLASS as well! Weee! All aboard the hogwarts expresssss! So excited!

Faraway beach - photo diary

We had a whirlwind trip away to the Central Coast to see my parents, my sister and her boyfriend and little nieces. It was a weekend filled with so many laughs, massages, facials, wine, coffee, more wine, more coffee, lots of food and a toasty wood fire. When my family gets together we're guaranteed giggles galore and lots of performances from my 6 year old niece -  usually involving a lot of musical instruments played very loudly. Ha ha.

It was so nice to see everyone! Missing them all already! It was perfect weather the entire time we were down there - but it was soooo bloody cold compared to Queensland. I had more pics, but a lot of them have my nieces in them - and I don't want to put them on my blog for privacy reasons.

On the way back to Sydney we stopped in at Zara in the city quickly - but we had to make a flight home so we didn't have ample time to shop. We're gonna save that for our Sydney trip in August.
