Disco Baby

I feel like I'm seeing Dorothy's slippers every time I see glittered heels. They look like they could be a bit of fun, but at the same time, I can't decide if they're screaming trash bag. I don't mind the Miu Miu's - but can Miu Miu really do anything wrong?

1. Miu Miu - Glitter and Suede Peep Toe Ankle Boots
2. Zara - Glitter Heeled Sandal
3. Alice and Olivia - Gizelle Glitter Platform Heel
4. Charles David - Harmonious

Opera House

(Lee Jeans, Pulp Shoes, Ebay Bag, Mink Pink Tee, House of Harlow glasses, Breo Watch, Various Jewellery)

You have no idea how long I have been looking for a vintage leather jacket in this colour, my size and the right cut. Every time I find one it's either 1,000 times too big or the cut is horrible. I dislike "bomber" leather jackets and most of the ones I have found over the past couple of years are borderline bomber. I was so, so , so happy when I stumbled across this jacket in the small town of Batemans Bay on the way back to Sydney...and it was only $10! For those of you who don't op shop or vintage shop, 100% leather vintage jackets can end up costing as much as the ones in the shops at the moment - if not more. What I love about this jacket is It's already soft and worn in, and it still has that leather smell to it ( PETA please don't kill me).

You can probably see I spent a lot of my time away in jeans. I packed dresses and shorts and only two pairs of jeans/pants. I thought I'd definitely get a chance to wear my shorts and dresses - but Sydney and the South Coast had different ideas for me. It was pretty damn cold compared to Queensland...So I was stuck wearing jean most of the time! The day I finally got to wear a dress was the day before we drove home when I was in Terrigal, seeing my sister, and I forgot to get photos! Oh well.

Happy Thursday!

Pitt street

Some street art in Sydney. I think it was done over night, as the council worker was cleaning it off when we were there. I have no idea how the artists did it - it was really, really high and it was on one of the busiest streets in the city. The council obviously didn't appreciate it as much as we or the other people walking by did.

UPDATE: The artist suspected of doing this is Barry McGee! A legend in the street art world! I am so happy to have witnessed his work!

hair inspiration

I'm getting my hair cut like this, this week. And probably really blonde as well. Or maybe not, I only just thought of the maintenance! Though having to get my hair done every three weeks means head massages... I can't wait to get this cut - it will be so liberating! Then after this cut I think I will finally go back to long brown hair (my natural colour) - I'll have all the hair cuts and colours out of my system by then.

Funland

(One Teaspoon tee, Lee Jeans, Sportsgirl Shoes, Breo Watch, Karen Walker N/lace, Tiffany and Co Bracelet, House of Harlow Sunglasses)

If you follow me on Twitter, you would have seen all the kilometres we traveled recently. We went from the Gold Coast all the way down to Narooma (South Coast NSW), stopping at places in between! It is such a beautiful drive - though I am in no rush to be in a car for that long any time soon!

The South Coast is one of my favourite places in Australia. The water is the clearest blue and the endless green fields really are gorgeous. If you haven't seen this part of New South Wales I would suggest that you book a little getaway over summer!

The place featured in these photos is "Funland" in Ulladulla. Every time we drive through Ulladulla we say "We should stop there", but we never actually do! So finally on the way back to Sydney we stopped in, had a look around, grabbed some lunch from a little bakery and tried to look through a vintage/retro shop in a side alley. It was impossible to look through their over stocked racks. It is my absolute pet hate going shopping when a shop is holding too much stock. I normally walk straight out (cursing them).

Happy Tuesday!
