Place Unknown Pleasures has been seen recently

1. The Wonderland PR Agency blog

2. SL and ST

3.WIKIFASHION

It's always fun being featured on blogs you follow or sites you visit regularly or even on sites that you hadn't read before! It's nice to be recognised for what you do and get the reassurance that you're doing it properly.

When I began Unknown Pleasures I didn't really think anyone other than a few close friends and family would look at what I liked or read what I had to say - so it is extremely flattering to be showcased on other blogs etc

D&G Shades

If you have been reading my blog regularly over the past year or so - you'd know by now how much I obsess over a)Sunglasses b)nail polish c) shoes.

I have my favourite sunglasses - but I didn't have any black until today! Most of mine are metal or nude. But now I am so excited to have some black shades join the party.

I'll let you in on a little secret where I got them from...A rad site which offers insane discounts on their stock. Shadesdaddy, stocks so many rad brands, and when I was picking my new sunnies out I fell in love with about 20 other pairs - but that's just my obsession coming out to play.

I am wearing

Dolce and Gabbana Sunglasses

Shawl made by my mum - On'ya mummsie

Now I am off to the gym - I have a recall for a casting i went to this week and I have to look my best! Wish me luck!

For some reason today decided to be an absolute biatch and get me in a mood from about 11am. It was a shame, really. I got all my errands completed and was so psyched about that. But all it took was one person to get me off guard and my mood went spiraling down - That's enough venting. I'm not normally easily annoyed, but I guess tiredness and stress got the better of me!

Now I am showered, hair washed, vino in hand and browsing an abundance of online stores while trying not to enter credit cards details and "accidentally" pressing the confirmed button. I look forward to Wednesday being over and starting FRESH tomorrow!!

Tom O'hern

Introducing Tom O'hern - Artist, extraordinaire. Tom O'hern is known for his use of ink on paper. I posted about him on the WE ARE HANDSOME BLOG just after we got back from our road trip, but don't know if all my readers look at their blog, so I thought I would post it on here.

Tom Ohern's work is amazing. His fine detailing and intricate line work make his work so captivating. His line work is intense - it must take him hours to complete a single piece!

I want to purchase 6 pieces of his work and display them in a horizontal line - as that was how they were displayed around The Rocks in Sydney and it looked incredible.

If you’re in Sydney go and check out the Primavera exhibition – it runs until the 13th of November

Thank god Monday is over - let's get this week a-rolllllll-ing! Ally xx

oh mumma I want to go surfin'

With yesterday's crap weather here on the so called "Gold Coast", I thought all of my weekend was going to be spent indoors. I can handle one day indoors but two consecutive days I tend to go a little crraaa-zzz-yyy. I love going to the beach and doing leisurely things on my days off and so does Jonathan so that works out well.

We left the house early to get to the beach for a surf. It was such a good work out. I am really looking forward to summer - let's just hope it's not a repeat of last summer, i.e raining all day everyday for three months. If it is nice weather this summer I could really get used to morning surfs, brunch and soaking up some sun to get rid of this white winter skin. Though I am not looking forward to sand ending up everywhere it's not wanted...

You might remember these Seafolly Swimmers from a post a couple of months ago - I am so glad I can wear them now. Thanks again Sunburn for sending me some love!

I am wearing Seafolly Beatnik bikini, House of Harlow Chelsea sunglasses and good ol' havaianas

Have a lazy, lazy Sunday afternoon guys! Ally XX

Inspired by Daydream Lily

My blog friend Liss Winnel from DAYDREAM LILY has just launched her second collection with Element Eden and I am absolutely in love with it. It is so dreamy. My singlet in this outfit post is part of the collection - featuring Liss' sister, Bec Winnel's artwork.(What a talented family!)

Liss styled the whole shoot and showcased a lot of her own magical trinkets and jewellery. It really gave it that "Liss" touch.

To see the photo shoot, visit Liss' blog, here

I am wearing: Element Eden inspired by Daydream Lily "hats off singlet", Customised shorts by me, Jeffrey Campbell Litas, Karen walker necklace, D.I.Y necklace, Ebay belt

Have a rad weekend

Balmain SS 2012

I have always loved Balmain for that rock and roll edge it had over a lot of other high end designers, but what Balmain presented in Paris for their SS 2012 collection was far from that.

The overall collection failed to show what Balmain is famous for - the rough edginess, typical of Christophe Decarnin.Olivier Rousteing seems to be taking it in a completely different direction - a direction I'm not sure I like.

Olivier Rousteing designs still have a little bit of an urban edge - they're just a little more chic or too refined for what I am used to in a Balmain design. Usually, I find myself lusting over basically everything on the catwalk, but this time there was just a small handful.

I hope you're liking my new blog layout! It still has some work! I am loving the new feel!
