Someone get me outta here
I seriously haven't been able to take this Stylestalker Parka off since I received it. I probably would try and sleep in it, but I won't, 'cos that's just plain silly.
Such a busy day today - I have barely had time to uh, scratch myself (as they say). But now, I'm going to unwind browse some blogs, maybe window shop some online stores and probably check instagram like 1,000 times.
Have a good night!

Marmalade
What up Monday?
I dunno about you guys, but it was a fight/struggle/ fists throwing kinda morning. I was so snug and I really did not want to get up from under my three doona thick bed. Not even for the delicious coffee Jonathan made me. ( I take that back J, don't take that as a way out of making me coffee).
So these shorts are comfy, they fit nice, they're warm. So basically all the great features you'd ask for in a short. I mean - I wouldn't be wearing them if they we in fact the most uncomfortable things ever, would I? Though even in all their comfy glory, they probably aren't as comfy as bed was this morning. AMIRITE.

Charcoal
An easy DIY project for your house, teepee, tree-house, apartment, lean-to or whatever you live in. It will definitely class up the joint. And your friends are bound to say "I love what you've done with the place"
I found this quick DIY on Emmas Design blog and she says you will need these items to complete the project. So that's what I'm telling you to use, as i haven't in fact made it yet, therefore her opinion is way more valid than mine.
You will need: charcoal, nylon thread, black tape, scissors
Her Method:"Start making a sketch in your head. I did that myself and tested my way through.
Cut several pieces of black tape so you can use them when working fast. I stopped when the shape felt a bit unfinished because I did not want it to get too round or triangular, instead I wanted a geometric form that changes depending on how it hangs and from what angle you're looking at it."
My favourite use of the charcoal is definitely the lampshade - love the minimalistic look.

Worn out blues
Ca-lash-sha-lashing. or something. Not sure where I was going with that.
So I thought I'd dabble in the clashing of florals trend. It seemed like a cool, fun way to revamp an outfit that orignally was worn with something neutral.

Midas Touch
Wearing metallic is possibly the hardest trends to wear as you run the risk of looking like a $2 hooker or like Grandma Yetta if not worn correctly. I find it easiest to stick with neutrals so I avoid stepping in to either of those territories.

PJ
Guys, there's a serious epidemic out there and it's spreading faster than wildfire. You may have seen it in silk or satin form and *gasp* people are in fact leaving the house with it. *raises eyebrow*
Symptoms for said epidemic include:
1) You begin to justify you look good by saying it's "luxe casual" or "elegantly classy".
2) You begin to have an identity crisis and thus deem it acceptable to leave the house dressed like a crazy person
3) You start blurting out to random people in public "Are you thinking what I'm thinking B1". But no one will respond with "I think I am B2" because no one is thinking what you're thinking. NO ONE!!
People have said that the PJ trend is an alluring new evening wear option for spring. I am still yet to find proof of this and I think the people saying such things need to back up their claims with some decent evidence - 'cos at the moment all I'm seeing is whole lot of Hugh Hefner look a likes. And do you want to be pay homage to an 80-something year old man's attire?
I quite like the Celine PJ style pants that have been doing the rounds (That print is stunning). The trend I am talking about is the full on top to bottom look. They don't look stylish - they literally look like pajamas, pj’s, Jimmy-jams, jammies.
Riddle me this: If you're going to take the time to put on makeup and pull your hair back into a painstakingly perfect ponytail, wear heels etc then why don't you have time to wear proper clothes.
Okay, I'm done.

Fairytale
A long weekend cut short due to work - but that's okay, we made the most of it with long drives down the coast both days. Saturday was just one of those days where we didn't especially know where we were going - so we just kept driving. We stumbled across a canopy of trees and just knew we had to take photos under it. They were just amazing and so dense. The photos turned out like something out of a fairytale, I feel like a princess when looking back at them.
Hope you're all enjoying your days off!!
PS Kudos to Jonathan for his photography skills, and for continuously improving and amazing me with his work.

TigsTogs
So my family are a bunch of creatives. We all have hobbies - whether it's artistic, musical or designing. It's always been that way too. Growing up we all drew, my siblings played instruments and learned how to sing. I never had the attention span to learn. Mum enrolled me in a class to learn guitar, piano etc but It just never stuck. I was more interested in sports and being creative in other ways...
My mum just started selling some really cute pieces on Etsy. Her brand is TigsTogs - all the pieces are handcrafted and she will be doing custom pieces too, so if you need something this winter that you can't find shoot her a line through etsy, she is a knitting machine! The scarves are so rad. There's something about handmade scarves that are so much better than store bought ones. Don't you think?
She offers free shipping Australia wide and her range is from $25-$70

The Island
Today I had a shoot for Get It magazine, then came home to do work for my new job at Cupcake and now finishing up by doing a sneaky blog post and sorting through Who Killed Bambi orders from today. What a day and man just going to put it out there - I'm not sure where my stamina has come from today. Powering on though, because I fear if I stop it's going to be a downhill battle. I think a warm soak, a yummy dinner and also my guilty pleasure that is Master Chef is in order. Despite having a long day - I am very, very calm.
