Back in your head.
I was getting ready for work this morning and i found this dress in my wardrobe. It happens to be a dress my mum handed down to me and i have since altered it to a style that i like. It used to have straps and was quiet long. Now it is boob-tube and at a length i like. Oh, i forgot to mention it was also her maternity dress when she had me! She sewed it. So it is special to me. I love wearing it, but it's way too chilly for me to wear it today...I just put it on and took a couple of snaps so i could pretend it was 30 degrees outside. Below is the newest jumper i made for my boyfriend. You like?

Romance Was Born.
Romance was born- "Dinosaur Renaissance" !!! Colourful claw-like fingernails that seemed to be about one metre long, elaborate headpieces, Alexander McQueen-esque reptilian dresses, spikes and a volcano on legs, it's probably easier just to look at the photos to understand this collection. There are way too many thing to comment on. Anna and Luke's (Romance Was Born duo) passion for fashion always comes through in their shows. I personally think their show was a masterpiece. A few of my favs: power-shouldered dresses (big fan of the high shoulder), brooch studded hot pants. The vest in the last picture is cute, i've been looking for a denim one of these so i can add some things to it...Kinda digging the mustard colour. My mum is going to knit me a mustard colour cardigan for winter! Weeeee.
Below is the "walking volcano" and in the other shot Dallys/Chic model Ema Taylor who i have worked with a few times. Her make up is amazing in this photo! All the make up was stunning for Romance Was Born.

Alex Perry.
I was not surprised that Alex Perry's collection was HOT, HOT, HOT! I absolutely love it! So glamorous! So much tulle, elaborate beading and structured shoulders!! I remember the first time i heard of Alex Perry. My mum and I were watching the Logies ages back...A TV star was dressed by him and my mum heard "I'm wearing Alex Carey"..Not "Alex Perry". She thought his name was Alex Carey. Very Cute. For readers other than my friends. My name is Alex Carey ( So now this story should make sense to you). In my books, he is KING.
I have been playing with a drawing tablet all morning. The "Alex Perry" header of this post was a quick job( so please forgive my skills). I was just seeing how to use it. It is pressure sensitive now as well ( Thanks to my boyfriend staying up late last night to install the software)... I keep trying to look at the drawing tablet as i draw, but i need to look at the computer screen for this one! He has a more expensive one, which has a screen you draw on but i don't trust myself not to scratch the screen! I hope that i can master the drawing tablet and use it more for blog posts! So keep your fingers and toes crossed that i will learn fast!

RAFW DAY 2
Rachel Gilbert
Zimmerman
Rachel Gilbert showcased a stunning collection which i happened to love a few of her mini dresses. My favourites are the one which i have featured. Samantha Harris (2nd photo) would look hot in a paper bag though. Her collection was filled with sequins, ruffles, crystals and paneling- both on mini and maxi dresses. Her first solo appearance at the RAFW! Woo.
Models to look out for at RAFW: Samantha Harris, Tallulah Morton, Sarah Stevens, Georgia Fowler, Stef "Bambi" Northwood, and Meg Lindsay as i have already noticed these babes in a lot of shows!

Milhouse likes vaseline on toast
You're probably wondering what "Milhouse likes Vaseline on toast" has to do with this post. It doesn't have much to do with it except for the "Vaseline" part. Last night i was watching ANTM reruns, and Tyra Bank did a shoot with the contestants where they wore Vaseline on their faces and no other make up. So when i got home from work today i smeared my face with Vaseline. Obviously not my entire face. Just my areas i wanted definition. I just wanted to see what would happen and if i could actually pull it off. If these weren't in Black and White you would just laugh at me and tell me i was stupid. But then again i don't know what you're thinking about the black and white pics.
I told my agency i dyed my hair. After freaking out the past few weeks i am happy to say my model manager loves it! I have been very scared to tell them cos they loved my dark brown hair! So what a bonus! I love it, it suits my skin tone better. The only thing i miss is the length! But, it's just hair and it will grow..
Later tonight i will post on RAFW! So keep an eye out. Also: My new logo should be completed soon! Can't wait.

Lisa and Camilla

Kicking off the 15th year of the RAFW in style!!!!! Lisa Ho's collection was beautiful.Lots of nudes and rich, deep tones of teal. I especially loved the mini dresses with the structured sleeves and the nude shorts (photo above). Bliss.
Camilla's collection was opened with an Avatar-like character. Throughout her collection you can see she was inspired by Avatar immensely, playing with a lot of animal prints on her caftans, capes and Maxi dresses. I love Camilla's designs. I did a show at Versace a few months back with Charlie Brown and Camilla. Her Caftans make you feel so feminine and they are perfect just to chuck on and look a million dollars( especially on those fat days). I'm not too sure about the opening of the show though. I think Avatar is a little too played out.

Neither heaven nor space.
Yesterday was such a great start to the weekend. My boyfriend and i went on a long walk before we went out for breakfast, then we went shopping where i picked up a few things! I bought a new nail polish and the owl ring(Such a cutie) and spikey silver and gold double finger ring (photo above). I love nail polish, i can't get enough. My nails are always painted. I fear what my nails would look like with out it.
In the afternoon we went to see my brother who is up here touring with Urthboy, as he is Urthboy's manager. It was a shame that it was such a quick visit! I wish i got to see him more. It's a bit hard though with him in New South Wales and me in Queensland! I am very excited as he is getting my boyfriend and i tickets to see Vampire Weekend next Tuesday in Brissy, as the other band he manages Cloud Control are supporting Vampire Weekend on their Australian National tour! AMAZING! So very excited to see both bands live, as you can imagine! Love you brother of mine!
Oh! We went to see Ironmensh aka Iron Man 2 last night. So good, better than the first. I think it won longest credits as well. We wanted to wait around to see the extra scene right at the end, and i swear the credits went longer than the actual movie itself! So many people worked on the CGI aspects of the film, no wonder it cost $200 million to make!
Today is a sunny day! So this was just a quick post as i am off to have coffee, browse some markets and potentially kill myself trying to surf.
