Wool and the Gang

If we here in the Southern Hemisphere weren't heading in to what I think is going to be one of the hottest summers yet - I would think about buying this pattern from "Wool and the Gang". Wool and the Gang has ready made jumpers for those of you who can't knit/ too impatient or for those of you who like a challenge you can buy the kits to the jumpers and make yo' own! What a rad idea! So many D.I.Y ideas!

Visit their store here or their twitter here

I love this cut out knit - and I am jealous I have to pack all my knits away :-(

DIY: jumper/ singlet
An aerated jumper i guess. It's fleecy but has the benefits of a singlet. We did the print a while ago but i hacked at it this morning.Perfect for the QLD weather of late.

My heart goes out to the flood victims, those who have passed and those still missing.

They don't rise up, just descend.

So, with a new place comes new findings. I was used to the lighting and areas around my old apartment. So it has been fun and a challenge to find the right light  for my quick outfit or "new finds posts''. We have a balcony (jumps in excitement) at our new place, which basically has sun all day long . Also in the coming weeks a kickass camera is being purchased (Thank you tax return and the help of my boyfriend).

For those who have been following my blog from the start you know my love of designing unique pieces of apparel. But, for those of you who have only been following lately-I'm sure you will quickly realise this little fact about me. I won't be able to hide it from you.  I could never be stuck in an office job. I would literally go insane. I need to express myself in some way. I am yet to discover what i want to do. But, what i do know is what i don't want to do. I see myself working towards something- I'm only twenty, so i figure i have some time to play.

Here is a little jumper I made. Cute bow right? I have to get back into designing more often. I have been a little slack lately. But, now that i have a few things lifted off my shoulders, i can reorganise my life a little. So expect more.

I thought you deserved two posts today, as you have been ever so patient with me! Also: I have reached 100 posts!!

Back in your head.

I was getting ready for work this morning and i found this dress in my wardrobe. It happens to be a dress my mum handed down to me and i have since altered it to a style that i like. It used to have straps and was quiet long. Now it is boob-tube and at a length i like. Oh, i forgot to mention it was also her maternity dress when she had me! She sewed it. So it is special to me. I love wearing it, but it's way too chilly for me to wear it today...I just put it on and took a couple of snaps so i could pretend it was 30 degrees outside. Below is the newest jumper i made for my boyfriend. You like?

Love like a sunset...

I had Mac and Cheese for lunch and now i think my stomach hates me. Apart from that my day was productive. I had a bit of fun this afternoon. I made some jumpers with my boyfriend weeks back and here is the end product. We bought some cheap over sized jumpers and bleached them with patterns we made. This is the first one we made, and there is another with abstract shapes and a white one which i obviously couldn't bleach so instead sprayed with black clothes dye. Note: The dye does stain. Especially tiles and uh, the ceiling.
