JEAN CATCHER

I am so proud of my good pal Katriena Emmanuel (now her head is going to get so big after she reads this post). Her photography skills have grown so much in the past year! She is always pushing boundaries and coming up with such innovative ideas - which as a photographer you need to do otherwise you run the risk of falling flat with your work.

When I first saw these photos posted on her photography facebook page they caught my eye straight away and not just because the featured Izzy from last years Australia's Next Top Model. The styling, Izzy's hair, the colours, Izzy's poses - everything was just perfect! Soon after looking through the images I realised there was a link from Ben Trovato's website! What an amazing achievement for Kat to be featured on such a great website, one of which I check out nearly on a day to day basis!

I think Kat is going to go a long way - she's regularly featured on Vogue. It and in numerous publications some of which you can view on her facebook fan page. She is a true inspiration not only in her work but as a person. She dropped her Paralegal job to follow her dreams of creating beautiful imagery...and from what I can see, all that hard work is paying off!

Inges Jacobsen

I always enjoy seeing another medium used with photographs. I have seen photographs drawn on, painted on, burnt, sewn etc before but these are just stunning. I wish that I could touch my screen and feel the textures!!

See more of Inge Jacobsen's work on her site here

Clothes | Who Killed Bambi

I took some photos of one of my good friends today. These are just a taste of what I took. Amy made it far too hard to select images. I had so much fun being behind the lens instead of in front of it for a change - but when Ams made my job so easy I could have photographed her all day.

I think I could get used to doing this more often. I got Amy to arrive with no make -up on as I wanted to shoot her raw. I really love the no make up and simple styling look at the moment.

By no means am I a photographer - just merely having lots of fun! Hope you guys like them.

Natalie Kucken

It's becoming more apparent that age doesn't matter in today's society. There is no "right age" to learn something. Nor is there a "right age" to be sure of what you're doing. Waiting to do something until you can be sure of doing it exactly right, means waiting forever. So I find it so impressive that young people such as Natalie Kucken are following their dreams at a young age. (I know I am only 21, but it truly is impressive seeing people younger than you killin' it).

Natalie is seventeen years old and has been behind the lens since she was fourteen. Her work has already been published in several independent magazines, a novel and all over the blogosphere naturally. She has the drive and confidence to get her work published large-scale - it's so inspiring seeing a seventeen year old so driven by passion.

I am a firm believer that in today's society you have to start young to get a head. There's no reason why, at 17, 20 or 24 you can't make a living off what you love - all you need is the desire, the passion, the confidence and the drive

You can catch Natalie's work on here blog here or on her official site here

Projection - Sydney adventure

These were taken by Jonathan while we were in Sydney the other day. We snuck my camera into a projection room in a gallery - as we've always wanted to see the effects the images will have on the overall photograph. I really love the outcome. What are your thoughts?

I will be back to regular posting as of today!

Hope you've been having fun! I have lots of photos to share with you.

Summer Daze

Okay, I'm ready for summer now please. I went out today for some coffee with two of my bestfriends. While I was getting ready I found myself in the worst mood, as I had to rug right up and all I wanted to do was wear a cute spring dress, ankle length socks and some brogues.

These photos are so dreamy and exactly where I wish I was right now....

clear spirit

It's amazing how fast the sky changes. I took these photos just as the sun was setting over Sydney ( except for the first image). They're only a couple of minutes apart. Even though I'm not the best flier, there is something extremely calming about these two images. I love the second image in particular. I love seeing the curvature of the earth and the deep orange sun against it. It's something you never get to see unless you're flying- so when you do see it you feel special.

I only just realised the other day my 26 year old sister has never been on a plane! She's coming up to see me in May and she is already nervous about flying. So hopefully these images calm her nerves.

Have a great Hump day girls and boys!

PS: I nearly named this post "crashing slow" (a Kylesa song), but decided that wasn't the best heading to go with a plane post- considering my sister hasn't flown. Ha ha.

I love Victoria Leites work. This image is one of my favourites for so many reasons.

How amazing would that fury dress/ jumper be for winter?
