Projection - Sydney adventure

These were taken by Jonathan while we were in Sydney the other day. We snuck my camera into a projection room in a gallery - as we've always wanted to see the effects the images will have on the overall photograph. I really love the outcome. What are your thoughts?

I will be back to regular posting as of today!

Hope you've been having fun! I have lots of photos to share with you.

All vintage...

All Vintage
An outfit from my road trip!

(Dress and Jumper Vintage, Shoes Sportsgirl, Bag vintage gift from my brother, Rings assorted)
These photos were taken by Jonathan in Sydney where we stayed.

Our holidays have been so incredibly amazing the past few days. We've seen some really, really nice parts of NSW. It's been awesome to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and not have anything to worry about.

We took our time on the way down south and stopped at cute towns along the way. We stayed overnight in Port Macquarie (I'd  never been there before), and then ventured on to Sydney. We're currently in Narooma, NSW, visiting my parents for a couple of days (thanks for the internet mum haha). It is the first time since leaving four years ago that the nostalgia has truly kicked in - it will be sad to leave tomorrow morning.

So today is Wednesday and it marks the midway point of our little/massively long road trip. Tomorrow it's back up to Sydney, then to the Central coast Saturday and lastly back to Queensland Sunday! Far out that's been a few Kilometres, thank god for Ipods)

Hope your weekend and week has been fun!

Spring road trip

(Vintage lace skirt, Tiger Lily skirt, Neuw Jeans, Lee shorts, Shakahachi shorts, Mink Pink tee, Neuw tee, Toi et moi tank, One Teaspoon Tee, Vintage dress, Von Zipper acid shirt, Vintage jumper, Seafolly bikini gift from Sunburn, Style Nanda shoes, TUK creepers, JC Litas, Assorted Hats)

I find it very hard to narrow down the clothes I choose to go away with. Even though I have taken photos of "what I am packing", I bet when It comes down to it, I won't pack some of it and I'll find something else I'd prefer to take...Or, I will pack this and much, much more. (lucky we're not flying this time)

I CAN NOT WAIT FOR TOMORROW AND THE NEXT TEN DAYS! We've downloaded all our tunes, camera is charged, I'm off to buy us some essential road trip snacks today, we're not booking any accommodation and we're ready to cruise! Bring it on!

When we get back, it's all systems go for the store and for my new blog layout. So get pumped - we sure are.

HAPPY FRIDAY!

Jeffrey Campbell Love

I am really, really loving that every shop I go into lately has splashes of colour is everywhere, and everyone on the streets is embracing it!

All my bags are black, tan or neutral. I think this JC bag would be the perfect colour addition to my collection.  It has a real summer feel about it too!

You can buy it here

Sunday inspiration

(images google)

Lately Jonathan and I have both been talking about wanting to buy a house. We both have really similar style on how we like to decorate places. And we are constantly changing things around in our current apartment - making sure we keep things interesting and fun. These photographs caught my eye - especially the warehouse photos.

Our dream house is a renovated warehouse with high ceilings, polished cement or rustic floor boards, lots of exposed brick and ceiling to floor windows. Open plan living would be really cool too, kind of like on the movie "St Elmo's Fire".

It makes me want to work extremely hard over the next year or two so this dream of ours comes true.

Across the Universe

So for the past couple of days I've been whinging to Jonathan that my House of Harlow Chelsea sunglasses still hadn't arrived. Little did I know there was a slip from Australia Post in my letter box from the 31st of August - yes last Wednesday. At the place we live, normally the postman buzzes our intercom to come down and pick up our parcels, but for some reason he didn't this time. On Friday night I even sent the place I bought them from an email asking where they were (unbeknownst to me  they were actually at my post office waiting for me). Yesterday was a public holiday here (yay, three day weekend) so I couldn't pick them up until today! It was well worth the wait, as I am so in love with them!

Keep a look out for a new space for The Unknown Pleasures. It's going to look amazing, I promise! Have an awesome weekend guys!

(Photos by me. Wearing: Neuw Tee, Karen Walker earrings and necklace, Tiffany and Co bracelet and House of Harlow Chelsea sunglasses)

GOLD COAST MAGAZINE

(Front cover Sept/Oct Issue, My page, Behind the scenes photos)

I don't know where to start with this post because I am so, so excited!

A little less than a month ago, I received an ever so exciting email from the beautiful Kirra from Gold Coast Magazine asking me to take part in an up and coming feature story on Bloggers! I think I re-read her email four times before it sunk in! A dance of excitement may or may not have happened as well. What's even more exciting I can now share it all with you.

This photo shoot and interview marks my very first publication since starting my blog last year. I never dreamed that one day I would feature along side some of the most incredible Australian bloggers such as: Daydream Lily, Oracle Fox, In spaces Between and Girl with a Satchel - who might I add are  the loveliest girls and really, really talented! It's so nice to meet fellow bloggers in person after reading their blogs for so long! If you haven't read some of these blogs - get on board now!
One of the best things about being a blogger is meeting/ connecting with new people, whether it be through social media sites or days like this one. It's always good when you've made friendships at the end of the day! So, a big, big thank you to Aimee and Kirra from Gold Coast Magazine for running such a great feature on us five girls - you are the best.

And a big thank you to all my readers, after all if it wasn't for you, I wouldn't have gotten to take part in such an amazing experience! I really appreciate the time you take to read my posts!
