Dip Dye

Okay, so this fascination with dip dye is in it's early stages. It only began four or so days ago whilst I was on Facebook chat with my bestie.  NB: I almost never use Facebook chat and I'm almost never signed in either - so really this conversation/fascination nearly didn't existed.

We were both trying to come up with new, innovative ideas for our Market stall which was on the 6th May. One of our regular pieces we take to the markets is a white tray table similar to this one - I Googled a bunch of DIY projects and saw the images featured above on a bunch of different interior design blogs. I came up with the idea to do a similar dip dye technique to the legs of said tray table in a coral colour... but ran out of time to do so before Sunday. So realistically this story is pointless to you all. So because I just made you waste 5 minutes of your afternoon reading about a project I didn't in fact complete  - I promise to complete this project for our next stall and I will show you the process.

I really love that this is such an easy way to introduce colour to your apartment, house or even market stall!! White against a pink/coral is my favourite combination! Would you do this to any of your furniture?

The Village Markets May

A little photo diary of our pop-up stall at The Village Markets on the Gold Coast!

What a blast today was! It was so busy, all our stock went flying out the non-existent door! I think the mighty fine sunshine played a very big part in that! Our besties Soy Chai Latte had an awesome day too - but that is a given as all their candles are DIVINE!

If you missed out on our pop up stall never fear as we'll probably be at the one in a months time or you can find us online: www.whokilledbambi.co

Hope you all had a lovely weekend!

You were on my mind

1//  Heels and Jeans outfit.

2//  Tastiest breakfast in the land of breakfast foods. Poached eggies + Avo + Turkish bread is truly the best combo ever.

3//  Jonathan on our Bunnings adventure. I wish we had have taken advantage of the sausage sizzle cos they smelt so delicious

4//  The team at The Iconic got me on to this. At first when they said Chlorophyll I thought "Isn't that the stuff they put on rags in movies to make people pass out"...Oh how I wish I didn't admit that to the internet just now. Anyhoo, moving on, It's a cleanser and way more convenient then making your own green drink!

5//  Amazing vintage fabric.

6//  Saturday morning chillin' before breakfast! I love couch chills + coffee. It's our morning ritual. We take it in turns to make coffee, cos we're cute like that.

7//  Lollies + Chocolate fix.

8//  Sass and Bide, Nixon and Vintage outfit.

9// Vintage cookbook cover.

These are photos that haven't been posted on IG - cos I don't see the point of re-posting cos many of you probably follow me on there and that would be pretty boring.

Loft beds

I have a confession to make: I have an unhealthy obsession with elevated bed. It all started in high school when a friend at the time had two beds in her room - one was a normal ensemble - the other was build up on the wall. I had never seen anything like it and thus immediately fell in love. There is just something ridiculously cool about your bed that high up. I'm not even sure I knew it was a thing before then.

Now, with access to design and interior design blogs I can get my loft bed fix when ever the hell I want. I think when Jonathan and I either build or renovate It's mandatory I get a loft bed somewhere in the house! If he lets me get a loft bed, I'll let him get the skate ramp he's always dreamed of!

JEAN CATCHER

I am so proud of my good pal Katriena Emmanuel (now her head is going to get so big after she reads this post). Her photography skills have grown so much in the past year! She is always pushing boundaries and coming up with such innovative ideas - which as a photographer you need to do otherwise you run the risk of falling flat with your work.

When I first saw these photos posted on her photography facebook page they caught my eye straight away and not just because the featured Izzy from last years Australia's Next Top Model. The styling, Izzy's hair, the colours, Izzy's poses - everything was just perfect! Soon after looking through the images I realised there was a link from Ben Trovato's website! What an amazing achievement for Kat to be featured on such a great website, one of which I check out nearly on a day to day basis!

I think Kat is going to go a long way - she's regularly featured on Vogue. It and in numerous publications some of which you can view on her facebook fan page. She is a true inspiration not only in her work but as a person. She dropped her Paralegal job to follow her dreams of creating beautiful imagery...and from what I can see, all that hard work is paying off!

Dream a little dream

My Sister bought me this artwork by the ever so Talented Bec Winnel for Christmas! I was so bloody excited to open it. I love Bec's work and I am now the proud owner of two of her pieces. Hopefully I can add some more over the coming months.

Neon Bandwagon - yep I plonked my ass right upon it. These are a few of my favs. Bloom in Chelsea, Ultra3 in Citrus, Bloom in Charlie and Ultra3 in Carrot.  If you're not one to wear neon clothing/accessories maybe try a neon nail polish, it's the easiest way to dabble in the trend.

Coffee dates are by far the best date. However, this wasn't a date - It was a solo affair. No I'm not some loner who goes to coffee shops by themselves... Sometimes it's nice to go and sit at a cafe, take some time out, write some ideas down and I guess take a step back and assess things. Trust me not only will you go away calmer, you'll go away feeling inspired and ready to tackle the weeks ahead full force.

Today's outfit - Cheap Monday Jeans, Agent Ninetynine belt, Who Killed Bambi Tee which will be in store very soon along with a lot of other RAD things. I missed my shoes, but for those wondering I am wearing some black pumps by Mimi Loves Jimmi. I have been living in jeans, heels and tees lately.

Have an awesome Wednesday night!
