Summertime sadness

I won't bore you with me complaining about the weather - all I will say about it is, that it has forced me to dress for comfort. There's nothing worse than already feeling gross from the weather and wearing something that isn't season appropriate. So cue vintage boyfriends jeans, loafers and an oversized tee. Some might call an outfit like this "man repelling" or whatever you wish to call it. But seriously the jokes on you if you're out in your best shoes and finest designer outfit with this forecast. If that car splashed you on the foot path  - you probably deserved it.

Hope you're all having an awesome weekend where ever you are in the world!

All this and heaven

Okay, firstly, sorry for being a slack-ass. I didn't realise until last night that I have given zero attention to my blog this week! You know what crazy things go on at the end of the year! My mind wants to be in 2012 already but my body is saying hold up, it's only the first week of December!

I'm quite certain you all know I am a shorts girl by now. These amazing lace shorts are by the babes at "Someday Lovin'" - they are so cute. The scalloped hemline is so beautiful.

I am really loving that white is on trend at the moment. Nothing says summer more than a crisp white pair of shorts or dress.

Wearing: Somedays shorts, Wittner heels, Mimco bracelet and clutch, Nixon watch, Vintage belt and Bardot tank.

Have an amazing weekend - enjoy the start of summer!!

once

Hey guys,

How was your Saturday? I went for a drive to Mullumbimby with Jonathan to see the "amazing" vintage shop that I've heard so much about. I was really disappointed because as we got there at 1pm it was closing, even though it said it was opened til 3pm. And it wasn't as big as I thought it was going to be! So all in all the drive was a big bust....

We decided to drive a little bit further to Byron - which is always a fun way to spend your weekend! I love Byron so much. I picked up some really cute Shakuhachi shorts (even though I should be saving my money). Naughty, naughty! So that really saved the day! Ha ha. Even though the morning wasn't a successful vintage shopping trip - the afternoon turned out perfect!

I'm wearing: the ever so comfortable  LILYA jumpsuit, Jeffrey Campbell Litas, Gifted Breo Watch, Ray Ban Sunnies, Mimco bracelet from my girls, Cheap ring and Vintage Cardi.

Have a wicked night!!!

oh summer where art thou?

I don't think it's too much to ask for it to warm up just a touch so I can go and rock these Beatnik Seafolly babies at the beach with Jonathan...whilst sipping on many delicious cocktails...and receiving endless massages and facials...then topping the day off with a dinner and long walk.

Ahh, a girl can dream.

The lovely ladies at SUNBURN sent me this rad stripey 'kini and they are super, duper cute on. The frill bottom makes the 'kini - it's such a simple feature yet it changes the overall look of the bikini. Girls who want to look like they have curves or at least some shape should definitely get on board with this bikini as the frills and stripes give you that that illusion! And the even better thing is you can mix and match sizes! None of this "I can't buy this bikini 'cos the top fits but the bottoms are just a bit big" business. You can buy separates so they fit you perfectly!

Have a awesome Thursday! Nearly the weekend! Wooo.

PS: Hi to all my new followers :-)

crown on the ground

Some new things lately!

1. Skull Holders with some cactus in them. New addition to our household! They're so incredible. We're slowing but surely decorating our new pad.

2. I went on a solo op-shopping trip last Friday and I found some really cool things, this little teapot being one of them. It was only $2 - and we turned it into a cactus holder too. I can't wait to see this cacti grow, it's meant to get really big!

3. Some new shoes! I picked up the brown brogues for $7 op-shopping last friday. They're brand spanker as well. It amazes me that someone chucked out a brand new pair of brogues, but I am ever so grateful! These boots were another steal at only $20 from Pulp. I love awesome finds.

4. We went shopping today! Man there are some really good sales around. This Mimco hard clutch (which I have wanted since Christmas) was marked down to $39 from $230! I nearly didn't believe the shop assistant when I asked her! How can you pass on a sale that good? It is so beautiful. It has a hard exterior with studs on one side. Slowly adding things to my Mimco family! I'm now at 4 things and each thing has been priced to own!

Hope your weekend has been super fun! We're now counting down the days til we have a little getaway to Sydney/ Central Coast!

MImco

Mimco what are you doing to me? It's a never-ending love. All my close friends know this and I'm sure you all realise it by now too. They always have awesome mid season sales. If there isn't a Mimco near you, don't even fret, head straight to their website here. While you're there check out the collaboration between Mimco & MADE - A Kenyan based fashion brand which is helping to break the poverty cycle & empower the local artisians who produce the products. Note that: it is not a profit sharing arrangement (e.g. based on the number of products sold). Mimco have commissioned these Kenyan workshops to craft these gorgeous products and have paid them as they would any supplier that creates Mimco products.

What an awesome idea. I love how compassionate Australian companies are.

Have a great day!

The fire still burns

My two best friends came knocking/ buzzing on my door this morning with early birthday gifts! I now am a mummy to two new fishies called Harri and Emma (named after the girls of course). They are ridiculously cute and now our other fish Ralph has some buddies to blow bubbles with. They also gave me this AWESOME Mimco bracelet- they know me way to well. The shop assistant asked if she could help them and they said "Ally is hard to buy for but when we see something that's her we'll definitely know..." I am so in love with my bracelet! The funny thing is I saw it at Xmas but didn't buy it- But they didn't know that til now.

They're the greatest girls and i'm so lucky to have them as friends! Can't wait for dinner and drinks tonight! Ah, i have butterflies I'm so excited.

midnight tornado

Loving my new Mimco wallet. And by new, I mean the one I picked up from the boxing day sales, but haven't had a chance to use it yet as the silly assistant left the security tag on. So i finally took it to be de-tagged today.  I don't feel like a criminal any longer. Man, I was dreading walking through the security doors and the alarm going off. I couldn't think of anything worse. But it didn't go off.....End of story. So now i can use it and it's tops. The end.
